What allowances are available?
Certain expenses that you may incur while on contract are covered.
We provide a Living away From Home Allowance to help with food costs and other small items.
Accommodation in Tasmania, New South Wales, and Queensland is provided for free (T&Cs can apply if you source your own accommodation), while in the Northern Territory, there is a weekly charge for accommodation.
For travel, if you fly, we organise it, but if you drive, there are fuel caps available.
With these expenses covered, you can focus on enjoying the career opportunities and incredible scenery.
Do I get paid more?
Yes! Rural nurses have a higher hourly rate which you get for choosing to work in rural locations. So, not only do you get some great benefits, but you’re also getting higher pay.
How do I get to each contract?
That is entirely up to you. We will arrange flights on your behalf to match your arrival and departure times with the contract. If you prefer to drive, we can provide fuel caps to help you reach your contract. You will be issued with an itinerary and have access to 24/7 support should you need to talk to the team.
Can I switch between Rural & Remote and agency nursing?
Absolutely! If you are in-between Rural & Remote contracts and wanting to pick up shifts closer to home, no problem, just update our team! Our Australia-wide presence means we have casual metro shifts and rural & remote contracts available across the country.
What minimum requirements do candidates need to meet?
All of our nurses need to meet a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience, as well as venepuncture and cannulation experience/competency.
As well as this we have minimum qualifications for Rural and Remote Nurses in specific specialties:
Emergency: ALS certificate, ETEK Triage
Aged Care: NDIS Clearance (QLD)
ICU: ALS certificate
Maternity: Recent birth suite experience
Remote Area Nurse: ALS, ETEK Triage, REC, MEC/PALS/Imminent Birth
